We took Fabricio to our spiritual heartland in Australia, the Hermitage in Mittagong. After a tour of the property and a chat with the Brothers over morning tea, we enjoyed a lunch in the town followed by a walk around Lake Alexandra.

Bridge Repairs 20 January
We took advantage of a visit from our friend David Hyndes to seek his advice on repairing our bridge between our houses. After four years of daily use, the bridge was showing signs of wear and tear. Fabrício proved to be a skilled bridge engineer.
Argie in Mexico
Argie completed this magnificent walk in NZ just prior to her trip home to Mexico to finalise some important university qualifications. She will be away for three weeks.

Arrival Of Brother Fabrício January 8
Brother Fabrício arrived in Sydney on Wednesday 8 January. This welcome addition to our community now makes a total of 5 Marists in the Lavalla200> Mount Druitt community: two from Mexico, One from Brazil, One from Philippines and one from Australia.

Holiday Activities
Noy travelled to Melbourne and then New Zealand. Argie and Rodrigo travelled to New Zealand. Lawrie enjoyed a brief visit to Newcastle and welcomed the Garvie family from Canberra.
Christmas 2019
We celebrated Christmas with a community meal on Christmas Eve, Midnight Mass at Holy Family and a rather quiet day on December 25.
MLZ excursion to the city 17 December
As the year draws to a close at MLZ we took our students (those available) on an excursion to the city, returning by the Parramatta river cat.
Baabayn Christmas party 14 December
The annual Christmas party for the local aboriginal communities occurred on 14 December. We assisted with preparation of gifts, transport, food preparation and face painting.
9 December Visit of General Councillors Ken and Oscar
Councillors general, Ken and Oscar, visited us at MLZ and at our community. An informative and encouraging community meeting occurred at home.
8 December ... Noy attends National Youth Festival Perth
Noy joined a group of young Marists in Perth, attending the youth festival. He stayed with the Brothers in Churchlands.
